Nissan Patrol
More recently, the SIBS® technology has been adapted for application on the Nissan Patrol. This brake greatly improves the braking performance of the vehicle in harsh conditions and critical braking applications. The Patrol brake incorporates both a hydraulically activated service and spring-applied hydraulic-release EMMA™ brake. This park brake may also operate as an emergency brake if required. Torque is transferred from the axle through a fixed housing and sliding rotor. Each brake in the set is supplied as a complete unit; with the front brake assembled to the knuckle and the rear brake assembled to the drive shaft. This enables rapid installation of the brakes, minimising downtime. The Nissan Patrol is currently undergoing testing to ensure compliance with ADR and SABS Standards.
